Shaw College has three student hostels, namely Kuo Mou Hall, Student Hostel II and Mona Shaw Hall. Together, they provide 1,511 hostel places. Each hostel has its own character and provides students with a comfortable living environment and a variety of hostel life experiences, where they can build friendships, engage in College life and pursue personal growth.
Kuo Mou Hall
Kuo Mou Hall was completed in 1989 and officially named in 1998. It comprises a high block and a low block, offering double and four-person rooms with a total of 576 hostel places. The hostel also provides common areas and facilities for residents’ daily needs and leisure activities.
Student Hostel II
Student Hostel II comprises a high block and a low block connected by a footbridge, with the high block named Yat Sen Hall. Offering double, three-person and four-person rooms, the hostel provides a total of 635 hostel places, as well as common areas and facilities for study, leisure and daily needs.
Mona Shaw Hall
Mona Shaw Hall was completed in the second quarter of 2026. It has five floors of student rooms and provides a total of 300 hostel places. With mindfulness as a key theme, the Hall promotes mindful living and holistic well-being through its hostel life and activities, while providing residents with a modern and comfortable living environment.
