Introduction

The elderly often face a number of difficulties, such as feelings of depression or helplessness due to aging or physical decline. During the pandemic, the change in lifestyle has also brought negative emotions such as unease and anxiety to the elderly. We hope to improve the physical, mental, and social adaptation of the elderly through three different themed activities, in order to create a healthy lifestyle, and allow the participants to deepen their understanding of the elderly, learn to be accommodating and respectful towards the elderly in our society.

Reflection and Learning

After this service, the abilities of the group members have improved in various aspects. We encourage the members to continue to organize more local services in the future, which has also increased their understanding of and awareness towards the needs of the elderly. This will help motivate the participants to continue to care for people in need in the community and actively participate in other volunteer services.

We also understand that there are still inadequacies in the current elderly services. We hope to continue participating in other volunteer services in the future. The demand for elderly services will only continue to increase. We hope the government can allocate more resources to address the needs of the elderly, and we also hope that people from all walks of life can contribute to elderly services to make up for the current inadequacies.
