This Introductory Lecture offers foundational knowledge on mathematical physics for this year’s Shaw Prize Lecture in Mathematical Sciences. Professor Man-Chun LEE, Assistant Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, CUHK, will be delivering the Introductory Lecture to elaborate on the relationship between geometry and calculus, and explain in brief differential geometry, and introduce the achievements of the Shaw Prize Laureates in Mathematical Sciences.
