Professor CHAN Wan-yi Renee obtained her Bachelor of Science (Environmental Life Science), Master of Philosophy (Microbiology) and Doctor of Philosophy (Microbiology & Pathology) from The University of Hong Kong (HKU). She won the 2010 Young Scientist Awards (Life Science) of the Hong Kong Institution of Science.
Professor Chan joined the Department of Paediatrics, CUHK in 2015. Her research interests include respiratory viruses, human respiratory epithelial cell culture models, respiratory mucosal immune responses and novel small molecule drug screening.
Professor Chan has been active in serving overseas student programme, including the Summer Undergraduate Research Programme organised by the Office of Academic Links, CUHK.
