Introduction

Nowadays, the ageing of population is becoming evident in the world. The elderly has become a large but
easily neglected community in society. The material life of most elderly is satisfied, but they may feel
loneliness due to the lack of care. Through this service project, we hope to give them care and warm, and to
arouse the concern of young people to the elderly. At the same time, we also want to understand more about the pension system in Taiwan, and with comparison of Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Reflection and Learning

After the project, we realized that we should care the physical needs as well as psychological needs of the
elderly. It was crucial for us to care about them, and to facilitate their self-realization. In addition, this
project also enriched our service experience, which would be valuable for us to participate in volunteer
activities in the future. We hope to encourage others to join us in giving care and tangible support to the
elderly.
