This program invites students to participate in the training to help SEN students reduce impulsive or aggressive behaviors caused by anger, enhance positive emotions and learning effectiveness.
Meditation on Soles of the Feet is an empirical method to effectively reduce the impulsive or aggressive behavior of SEN adolescents and adults. It was designed by American psychologist Professor Nirbhay N. Singh who has published many academic articles.
After completing the training , participants who can attend the Samatha meditation and SoF training will be awarded a certificate of attendance. Participants who can attend all training and internship periods will also be offered a certificate of attendance (if due to the epidemic, or overlapping with the exam date exempt).
Program briefing session (all selected members must attend)

Training period (7 sessions in total)
• March 8, 15, 22, 29 (Wed) 18:30 - 19:45
• Or March 9, 16, 23, 30 (Thu) 18:30 - 19:45
• Calmness Training (Samatha meditation) Workshop via Zoom
• Students need to practise daily on their own for at least 20 minutes
• March 11, 18, 25 (Saturday) 13:30 - 16:30
• Meditation on Soles of the Feet (SoF) Workshop
• Face-to-face workshops on the Chinese University of Hong Kong campus
• Soles of Feet (SoF) knowledge and skills
• Emotion regulation skills according to research of SoF for SEN students
Training fee: Free of charge
Training language: Cantonese, with some English
