Introduction

The "Twinkle Trail" project aims to enable individuals with disabilities to experience the joys and benefits of travel. By forming a dedicated "service experience team," we accompany them and offer a unique journey tailored to their needs. We are confident that this initiative will not only create lasting memories for individuals with disabilities but also provide all participants with diverse life experiences throughout the service process.

Reflection and Learning

The "Twinkle Trail" volunteer project is our first comprehensive involvement in planning and organizing. From liaising with other organizations, recruiting volunteers, to resource management, task allocation, and review, the entire process has given us a profound understanding of the complexity involved in event preparation and the time and resources required. Usually, as participants in volunteer activities, we find it difficult to realize the efforts put in by the organizers behind the scenes. We simply need to participate with our enthusiasm. However, through this project, we feel that the organization of a successful volunteer project is inseparable from the meticulous considerations of the organizers and effective communication with stakeholders. Everything we have done in this project has been supported by our sense of mission and passion, moving forward for the glimmer of hope in our hearts. Additionally, after direct communication with the staff of the Eden Foundation, we have learned many important considerations for volunteers in service, such as maintaining a reasonable social distance, respecting the personal privacy of both oneself and the service recipients, and using simple language to communicate with them. These are all important principles to ensure service quality and uphold the rights of all parties involved.
